Domkerk
Project location: Utrecht, Holland
Project Background Brief
LRS was asked for a wireless lighting control system for this historic gothic cathedral.
Lighting needed to be controlled from multiple push button panels, so a wired bus cable was not an option on the project due to the age and nature of the building.
Particular challenges
As a listed building extreme care had to be taken with the fabric of the building and a sympathetic approach to installation was essential.
Due to the size of the cathedral, signal repeaters were used, with control via the Rako App providing flexible control of the system.
Favourite Project Features
This project has some special features with the lights controlled for key events as well as dawn and dusk.
